Japanese-Americans in World War II collection, 1920-1995.

The collection contains materials in two series: the Japanese-American perspective series, and the Official government stance series. The first group includes correspondence, journal articles, and memoranda regarding conditions at relocation centers. Of special note is an article, "America's Japanese-American problem," written by Herbert B. Johnson in 1920. The Official government series includes Congressional hearings, laws, executive orders, materials by and about the War Relocation Authority, and publications of the Western Defense Command and the Fourth Army.
